¶ Where can I install MoreCosmetics Mod?
- Vanilla (Any Client that doesn't re-obfuscated the Minecraft source code)
- Fabric 1.16.5 / 1.17 / 1.18 / 1.19 / 1.19.3 / 1.19.4 / 1.20
- Forge 1.8.9 / 1.16.5 / 1.18 / 1.19 / 1.19.3 / 1.19.4 / 1.20
¶ How do i install MoreCosmetics Mod?
- Download Installer https://bit.ly/MoreCosmeticsInstaller
- Execute MoreCosmetics-Installer.jar
- Select the Platform (Vanilla, Fabric or Forge)
- Select the Version
- Any Version that is not shown is not supported yet
- Red means not installed
- Green means installed
- (Optional) Make corrections of your Minecraft home folder
The modification should now be installed. You can now start playing with MoreCosmetics!
If the file can not be executed, follow → “Error: The downloaded file can not be executed".
If Forge 1.8.9 can not be found, follow → “Error: Forge 1.8.9 could not be found within your versions folder”.
¶ Editor
¶ How do I open the editor?
- Join a Singleplayer world or a Multiplayer server
- Press your “M”-Key
The editor should be open now. If this is not the case, follow → “Error: The Editor does not open up”.
¶ (Fabric and Forge) How do I open the editor?
This only works if the normal Minecraft GUI is not modified by a another mod!
- Go to “Options → Skin Customization”
- Click on “MoreCosmetics”
¶ How do I use the editor?
- Shows the different cosmetic types available
- Shows the different variants of each cosmetic type
- Left-click: Select a cosmetic (Toggle ON/OFF)
- Right-click: Open the advanced settings for a cosmetic
- Shows the advanced settings for a cosmetic
- Shows a cosmetics preview
- Shows settings for the modification
- Shows the premium NameTag interface login.
- Toggle between ONLINE and OFFLINE mode.
- ONLINE mode requires a Minecraft account.
¶ How do I use the Library?
- Press “Browse” to open the browser (library)
- Shows the search bar (Names/Tags or URLs)
- Search: For Names & Tags within the Night.design Library.
- URLs: Add a path or web address linked to a picture
- Shows the library providers
- Shows the selection each library offers
- Shows the button to clear the search bar
- Shows the cosmetics preview
- Close the browser (library)
Instructions apply to Shields and for Cloaks (Capes)
Supported image formats: PNG, GIF.
¶ Supported Mods
Supported Mods requires „Use Minecraft Renderer“ to be enabled.

- Mostly any other Mod that modificates the Player model or classes
¶ Error: Cloak vanish while “Use Minecraft Renderer” is enabled
This feature works only with Premium Minecraft accounts, cracked players cannot use this feature due limitations of Mojang.
No Bugfix found yet.
That means you can't use mods like “WaveyCapes”!
¶ Error: Cloak doesn’t show at all, while using TLauncher
- Check what version you are launching via the TLauncher.
- Is the TL logo in front of the version? If yes, switch to the same named version without the TL logo in front of it.
- If it still doesn’t work, maybe you are using a another mod that is inkompatibel. Check the “Known Inkompatible Mods“ List

¶ Error: File Selector doesn’t open in PojavLauncher (Mobile)
This i a already known issue. Official MoreCosmetics Mod doesn’t support PojavLauncher. But it you can work around this issue.
- Go to the Publishing page
- Upload your File
- Fill out all Information Fields
- Toggle visibility from “Public” to “Unlisted”
¶ Error: I can't remove or edit my Online Cosmetics
¶ You bought the Cosmetic
¶ You didn't bought the Cosmetic
It looks like your Cosmetics bugged. But no worries you can fix them by your self.
- Launch the game
- Join Single player
- Open editor → Settings
- Click on “Reset Userdata”
- If the Cosmetics won't reset, please create an Bug report
¶ Error: The editor doesn't open up
- Check if the “MoreCosmetics” folder is located in your Minecraft home folder
- Install MoreCosmetics Mod again
- Locate the MoreCosmetics.json file (Locate the Minecraft home folder)
- Open the file with any text read app
- Find the Word “key” and read out the number on the right of it
- Search the Number in a Key table (http://www.foreui.com/articles/Key_Code_Table.htm)
- Now press the key that you have found
- Create an bug report
¶ Error: Black box under the player in 3th person
This bug only occurs with Optifine.
- Go to "Options → Video Settings → Preformance"
- Disable "Fast Render"
